Dryland Boat Parade Grand Marshals Named
“The Yachts are Coming to Town” is the theme of the wacky VP Dryland Boat Parade on Sunday, December 11th. Always known for their dedication and volunteerism to the city, the Grand Marshals selected for the year are revealed at the November City Council Meeting. There was no doubt that the VPCS Foundation committee thoroughly surprised our VP Mayor, Chad Zimmerman, at the meeting when his family was given this special honor.
Mayor Zimmerman has been a true leader within our city and in the VP Rotary Club. VP High School Interact Club, Indian Princesses and Boy Scout Troops also benefited from his dedicated volunteerism. His wife, Margaret, is a Pediatrician and has coached their kids soccer teams. Their children, Will and Alyssa, have been involved with the VPHS Choir and Moch Trial team while volunteering in the community, too. Congrats to the Zimmerman Family!
